In fact, many local hunters - my family included - cherished pigeon meat as much as they do dove, quail, duck or deer.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;It wasn't until I moved to the city that I heard people describe &lt;I&gt;Columba livia&lt;/I&gt; with derision.
